All Flight Shipping costs include: Airfare, Crate, Health Certificate, Blanket and Toy.
We use Delta Airlines - Shipping costs depends on the final destination and total weight of pup and crate. Actually, they say it is cheaper to fly 2 pups, instead of 1. You can put 2 pups in one crate and you save the airfare on one of them. Normally, it costs anywhere from $250.00 to $350.00, depending on size of crate and weight of the puppy. We also charge $50.00 transportation fee, for our fuel and our time, as we have to have the puppies to the airport between 4:00 and 4:30a.m. We require that the cost of the puppy and the shipping be paid in full one week prior to the shipment of the puppy. I do require that you also pay the higher amount in shipping and then I will send you a refund, if any is due. Due to the cost of fuel these days, shipping through any method has become more expensive. If you are wanting to have a pup shipped to you, please let us know ahead of time, so that I can call the airlines and find the best deal and the closest for you to pick the puppy up at the airport. I try and do my best to save you money, when ever I can.
Shipping through the airlines also depends on the outdoor temperature, as they will not ship the puppy if the temp is higher than 82 degrees, whether from here or the destination and if it below 45, they will not ship them here or the destination. However, if we get an acclimation from the veterinarian saying that this particular puppy can with stand the temperatures that they specify and below, then we can ship the pup. There will be an additional fee of $25 for this form, so the total cost of the health certificate and acclimation would be $60.
All puppies will be shipped with a sample of their food, along with their health records, your receipt, their AKC paperwork a toy, a bone and a blanket. And, as long as we know the name of your puppy prior to shipping date, their crate will have their names on it. If you want to send anything prior to their shipping date that you want them to have with them on their journey, please make sure that we would have this at least 1 week prior to that date also.
ANY ANIMAL TRANSPORTED OUT OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS MUST HAVE A HEALTH CERTIFICATE, PERFORMED BY A LICENSED VETERINARIAN
We now offer personal delivery service to our customers, but we only deliver on the weekends. We will only travel up to 350 miles one way. All mileage will be taken from the Map Quest and or Yahoo Maps, which ever is the least amount of miles. This will only give us the mileage into the city where you are located. We would like a confirmation as to the correct directions, as I have found the directions to be incorrect, more than they are correct from either Map Quest or Yahoo Maps.
The fees for door to door delivery are as follows:
* Flat fee of $50.00
* Traveled mileage calculated per round trip. Due to the cost of fuel, we are having to charge $ 0.45 per mile. We realize that this sounds expensive, but we do have to pay our driver, along with the fuel.
* Call or email for price quotes.
By being a door to door delivery, this would not include a crate, as we would use our own. You would also be expected to pay for the health certificate, which is $35.00, if we would be delivering out of Illinois.
The benefits of the Door to Door Delivery is that your puppy will be able to be cuddled on its trip and not be without human contact. We will stop on a regular basis so that the puppy will be able to get a drink and go to the bathroom, without having to mess in their crates, which upsets them very much. Also another benefit is that when the temperatures are below a certain temperature or over a certain temperature, the airlines will not fly the puppy. These temperatures are determined the day of the flight both from the origin airport and also the destination airport.
